Join us for our annual Winter Meeting on December 6 & 7,2024 at the Shoshone Rose Casino near Lander for a fun and educational weekend focusing on Wyoming’s Wild Sheep.
The fun kicks off on Friday evening at 6:30 with an Indian Taco Bar, games, raffles, a silent auction and a statewide Bighorn sheep harvest update by Tony Mong from our Game and Fish department.
Saturday morning will offer a full breakfast buffet followed by a tour to Washakie Reservoir led by Pat Hnilcka/Art Lawson and seminars on the theme of Bighorn sheep conservation in partnership with the Shoshone Arapahoe Fish & Game. Topics will include Highway 26 Wildlife Overpass Project, Whiskey Mountain herd test and remove project updates, Wind River Reservation Feral Horse Management. Speakers will be Art Lawson (SAFG), Pat Hnilicka (USFWS), and Daryl Lutz (WGFD). In between the seminars and tour, a sandwich board lunch will be served. Our membership meeting will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM.
The Saturday night festivities will kick off at 5:30 Pm with a cash bar, Raffles, Silent Auction Items, Games and Gun Raffles. During the evening, we will screen a film about Ewe sheep hunting in Wyoming and award several of our Partners for their help with our mission.
Prices are Kids under 12 – FREE, Friday evening – $30, Saturday evening – $50 and All In which includes Saturday breakfast and lunch – $100.
